Correction and reversal
Shipped or received goods aren't deleted, they're reversed. The reversed document stays as a historical record in status Reversed, and the stock movement is undone.
What can be reversed
| Document | When | How |
|---|---|---|
| Transfer order | In status Partially Processed or Fully Processed | Mark reversed, Return in draft or Delete |
| Transfer order shipment | In status Waiting for shipping or Closed | Mark reversed only |
| Transfer order receipt | In status Waiting for delivery or Closed | Mark reversed only |
Reversing a whole transfer order
- Open the transfer order and click Reverse.
- Choose how:
- Mark reversed – the transfer order stays locked with status Reversed.
- Return in draft – the transfer order goes back to Draft so you can fix it and process it again.
- Delete – the transfer order is deleted.
- Confirm.
All of its shipments and receipts that aren't reversed yet are marked reversed automatically, receipts first, then shipments. This applies to all three options. They're always kept as a historical record.
Reversing one shipment or receipt
Use this when only one part is wrong, for example the wrong quantity on one shipment.
- The reversed quantity goes back onto the transfer order lines. It can be shipped or received again.
- A shipment can't be reversed while a live receipt made from it exists. Reverse the receipt first.
If the transfer order is Posted, a single shipment or receipt can't be reversed. The general ledger posting already includes their quantities, so reversing only the stock would put the general ledger out of step with the stock ledger. Reverse the whole transfer order instead.
You can reverse several transfer orders at once with a bulk action from the list.
